Wetland Mitigation Banks in South Florida

MBG represents mitigation banks across the South Florida Water Management District — covering the Everglades, Big Cypress, Kissimmee, and Lower West Coast basins — helping clients secure state and federal credits for projects requiring Environmental Resource Permits and Section 404 authorization.

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) encompasses approximately 16,000 square miles across South Florida, including highly regulated and environmentally sensitive regions such as the Everglades. The district covers all or part of 16 counties, where mitigation requirements are strictly enforced to ensure no-net-loss of wetlands. MBG provides access to mitigation banks throughout the district, helping streamline permitting and maintain compliance within each drainage basin.
