Reedy Creek Mitigation Bank
The Reedy Creek Mitigation Bank provides state and federal credits within the Reedy Creek, Shingle Creek, Boggy Creek, Lake Hart, E. Lake Toho, Lake Toho, Lake Myrtle, Alligator Lake, Lake Gentry, S-63A, Canoe Creek, Lake Cypress, Lake Kissimmee, Lake Pierce, Lake Hatchineha, and Horse Creek Basins which are within the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Mitigation Bank credits are available to offset unavoidable wetland impacts with UMAM credits (State) and M-WRAP credits (Federal).
The Reedy Creek Mitigation Bank is a 3,520-acre mitigation bank that is located in Polk/Osceola County. The bank was permitted by both the South Florida Water Management District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and can be utilized as mitigation for impacts within the service area. Restoration activities include the installation of low water crossings, culverts and the cessation of logging activities on the property.
