CGW Mitigation Bank
CGW Mitigation Bank provides state and federal saltmarsh credits within the Central Indian River Lagoon (Basin 22), which is within the St. Johns River Water Management District.
Mitigation Bank credits are available to offset unavoidable wetland impacts in the Central Indian River Lagoon of Florida with RATIO credits (State) and M-WRAP credits (Federal).
The CGW Mitigation Bank is a 150-acre mitigation bank that is located along the western shore of the Indian River Lagoon, north of Vero Beach in Indian River County, Florida.
The bank was permitted by both the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) and can be utilized as mitigation for impacts within the service area.
Restoration activities include hydrologic enhancement, salt marsh restoration and exotic vegetation eradication.
