Victoria Bruce to serve on Seminole County Parks and Preservation Advisory Committee

OVIEDO, FLORIDA, DECEMBER 18, 2018 — This week, the Board of County Commissions announced in a letter from Chairman, Brenda Carey, Commissioner, District 5 the appointment of Victoria Bruce to Seminole Country Parks and Preservation Advisory Committee. 

Victoria Bruce, 35, of Winter Springs, is the Founder and CEO of The Mitigation Banking Group, a wetland mitigation group that helps preserve and restore large scale environmental restoration projects which are preserved for future generations.  Victoria is appointed for a three year term beginning January 1, 2019.

The Parks and Preservation Advisory Committee provides input and recommendations to determine and advise in the creation of and identification of policies, direction, recommendation of important natural/environmental land acquisitions, development of quality countywide trails and greenways, parks, and recreational facilities and opportunities.

Victoria Bruce has been instrumental in the mitigation banking credit industry since 2004. Victoria’s vast background in the wetland mitigation and habitat conservation bank industry has designated her as one of Florida’s most sought-after mitigation bank experts. 

As part of her ongoing dedication to sustainability, Victoria continues to focus on wetland mitigation banks, habitat conservation banks, governmental regulatory politics and environmental interest groups. She is past President of the Florida Association of Mitigation Bankers (2016-2017) and is the current Treasurer of the Central Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (CFAEP).
