Mill Creek Mitigation Bank

The Mill Creek Mitigation Bank provides State and Federal Forested Freshwater Mitigation Credits within the Northern Ocklawaha River Basin (also known as Basin 11). Mitigation credits are available to offset unavoidable wetland impacts in the Northern Ocklawaha Basin (SJRWMD) and Ocklawaha Basin (SWFWMD) with UMAM Credits.

The Mill Creek Mitigation Bank encompasses 2,158.94 acres in Marion County, Florida. The Mill Creek Mitigation Bank will not only preserve, enhance, and restore forested freshwater wetlands, but will also hydrologically enhance wetlands throughout the property, improve/restore wildlife habitat; implement a perpetual management and monitoring plan, and an exotic and nuisance species control program.
